Desiderata, Harbor Seal, California Death Worm
Indie-funk, soul, indie-pop
About
Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, and formed in Durango, Desiderata blends tight, irresistible grooves with timeless melodies and modern funk energy—think Fleetwood Mac meets Chromeo. Fronted by Autumn Ford’s silky, pop-infused vocals, the five-piece draws inspiration from desert sunsets, mountain vistas, close friendships, and neon-lit dance floors. Their sound fuses Soul, Pop, Funk, Indie, Disco, and Rock into something warm, rhythmic, and effortlessly danceable.
Fronted by resident wordsmith Ceal Lubin, Bellingham-based Harbor Seal serves up goofy rock n roll driven by catchy choruses, power pop chord progressions, and tongue-in-cheek lyrics. If Kimya Dawson and Cake had a baby, you’d get Harbor Seal: earnestly deadpan and drenched in absurdity.
California Death Worm: A very normal person in a regular city making pleasant music for the hoi polloi.
