BALKAN BUMP

Balkan Bump is the global electronic music project orchestrated by trumpet player, producer and ethnomusicologist Will Magid.Balkan Bump’s music blends heavy electronic production with global influences, featuring traditional Balkan brass melodies, Middle Eastern sounds, and American hip hop. The live shows range from solo performances to a 12-piece band with diverse instruments like the sitar, saz, oud, clarinet, and trumpet, gaining global renown at major music festivals such as Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The project debuted with the single “Aymo” featuring Gramatik and Talib Kweli, with Gramatik supporting the live show and releasing Balkan Bump’s debut EP on his Lowtemp label. Balkan Bump has collaborated with artists such as Beats Antique, Moon Hooch, CloZee, Fakear, Manic Focus, and The Gift Of Gab, and has been featured in major publications like Billboard Magazine and NPR. Will Magid, the mastermind behind Balkan Bump, has also collaborated with Bonobo, Erykah Badu, and Pretty Lights, and his music has appeared in campaigns for brands like Warner Brothers, Uber, and Porsche.
