When the first lockdowns hit, he turned his attention towards production and songwriting. The unveiling of his new project Ramblxr (pronounced “rambler”) finds him mixing the traditional Scottish and American folk music of his youth with tasty and exuberant dance beats. Electronic music with an ancient depth of heart. For the Ramblxr live show, Elias weaves together live looping, sampling, electronic beats, and acoustic instruments—bagpipes, fiddle, electric guitar, percussion, whistles and keyboards—to create an emotional, dance-fueled journey. The first ever show of this project—before the name Ramblxr—took place Oct. 9th at the Shakedown, Bellingham. Faces melted, booties shook, and friends were made. Elias can’t wait to return in full force for another round of fiddle disco, bagpipe dubstep, Gaelic-funk-house fun!
