Seattle’s Blizzard is not your average Ozzy tribute band. They focus on the first two albums of Ozzy’s solo career and the masterful musical craftsmanship of the Blizzard of Ozz band. While they do perform highlights from outside this period, their main focus is on the best of Ozzy’s catalog, which they perform with amazing precision.Bassist Theo Kappel and drummer Malcolm Monaghan formed the foundation of the band. They took about a year to find the right lineup and even played gigs under the name of Prince O Darkness before encountering personnel issues and retooling the lineup.Theo reached out to his former Midnight Idöls bandmate Russ Stefanovich to bring the Rhoads. He is widely acknowledged as a Rhoads freak and jumped at the opportunity, solidifying the guitar position.Versatile veteran frontman Andy Brodigan takes on the lead role of the “madman” himself and completes the lineup.The Blizzard is ready to transport you back to a smoky, sweaty arena somewhere in the early to mid-80s for a high-energy celebration of the madman and his legendary band.
