About

KuinkaSpotify | Instagram | YoutubeDescribed by NPR Music as joyous folk pop, Kuinka "laces modern folk and Americana with an electronic jolt, waltzing along the grooved edges of dream-pop, synth-pop, and Brooklyn’s mid-aughts guitar-rock revival" (Vanyaland). Their genre-defying music features several different lead singers, four-part harmony, and eclectic instrumentation including banjo, ukulele, and synthesizers. For all of their sonic experimentation, the Seattle quartet’s songs and live shows are linked by an intense energy that remains present in everything they do.Cat ValleyInstagram | Facebook | Bandcamp | SpotifyCat Valley is a garage punk band out of Bellingham, WA, made up of Whitney Flinn, Abby Hegge, Kristen Stanovich, and Melanie Sehman—four unapologetic feminists known for rousing energy, intricate vocal harmonies, dueling reverb-drenched lead guitars, and scathing observations of a world gone mad. Cat Valley first formed in 2016, after Whitney Flinn and Abby Hegge met by happenstance at a birthday house show. As they became fast friends, the two started writing songs and playing music together using borrowed equipment and a toy drum kit. Gradually, they discovered a knack for utilizing pop’s buoyancy and the raw grit of garage punk as mouthpieces for the progressive politics and boiling emotions they share. Flinn and Hegge rounded out Cat Valley with bassist/singer Kristen Stanovich and drummer Melanie Sehman, and the band has since performed at venues and festivals around the country, including Treefort Music Festival and Belltown Bloom.
