Their punk/metal fusion planted seeds that would grow in modern heavyweights such as Municipal Waste, Lamb of God, Cannibal Corpse, Dead Cross, and many more.In 2005, three-fourths of The Accused broke away and formed Toe Tag, a grittier, back-to-roots incarnation of the Splatterrock sound. At the behest of fans, Toe Tag occasionally disguised themselves as Martha's Revenge: The West Coast premiere Accused tribute band—performing a horror-filled mix of Toe Tag originals and resurrected Accused classics while laying waste to the West Coast.In 2016, following in the footsteps of bands like Venom Inc., Flag, and Entombed A.D., the blender baby known as Martha’s Revenge officially adopted the moniker The Accused AD / Afterdeath.In 2019, the band released Ghoul in the Mirror on Blackhouse Records. In 2025, they followed with a split LP, La Bestia, alongside Retox A.D..The band has performed at Maryland Deathfest, Northwest Terror Fest, Metal Immortal Fest, Mass Destruction Metal Fest, completed a Japanese tour, toured extensively across the United States, and recently returned from Mexico and South America. The band toured Australia in September 2025, with a return to Chile in 2026 and a performance slated at Obscene Extreme in the Czech Republic.The cult of Splatter is alive—and the Kool-Aid is being consumed insatiably.The Splatterrock Enforcers.They ain’t dead yet….
