The Sometimes IslandThe Sometimes Island makes synth-forward beach music and has been called “the future of synthpop” by Buzznet. The band is led by frontman Matt Blankenship Jr, with Chilean-born guitarist Felipe Valdivia and anchored by drummer Nick Lopiano. LA Weekly noted “their single Phantom Limb cracked the Top 40 Radio charts… and by the looks of it - they aren’t anywhere near finished with the climb.”
