About
Truly: Celebrating 30 Years and a New Chapter
Truly, the celebrated Seattle trio, features all of the original band members: Robert Roth (vocals, guitar), Hiro Yamamoto (bass), and Mark Pickerel (drums). The rhythm section, in particular, boasts deep Seattle roots: Hiro Yamamoto is a co-founder and original member of Soundgarden, and Mark Pickerel is an original member of Screaming Trees—two giants of the region's influential music scene. Hiro is a proud member of the Asian Hall of Fame and just coming off his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction as a founding member of Soundgarden this past November 2025. The chemistry of the original line-up and their combined experience form the driving backbone of Truly's distinctive sound. Yamamoto says
“I’m excited about the new chapter that is emerging for Truly as we celebrate 30 years of the release of Fast Stories...from Kid Coma”.
